Abstract
Pandeglang Regency has significant marine and fisheries resource potential to support the development of the blue economy. This study aims to analyze the role of the fisheries sector as a core sector of the blue economy in accelerating regional economic growth based on intersectoral linkages. The method used is Input-Output analysis with data from 2016, 2020, and 2025. In addition, panel data regression analysis is used with independent variables of NTB and output multiplier to examine its effect on economic growth. The results show that in 2016 and 2025, the fisheries sector had backward and forward linkages below 1, while in 2020 the forward linkages increased above 1 but were not followed by backward linkages. In addition, the output multiplier value ranked 10th indicates that the resulting multiplier effect is still relatively limited. The regression results show that NTB and output multiplier have a significant effect on regional economic growth, indicating that improving the performance of the fisheries sector continues to contribute to economic growth, although the impact of its distribution between sectors is still limited. Thus, the blue economy has not yet functioned optimally as an accelerator of regional economic growth, so it is necessary to strengthen sectoral linkages, particularly through the development of downstreaming and supporting sectors.
