Abstract
The phenomenon of job hopping among Generation z employees in the food and Beverage (F&B) culinary sector is increasing due to high work demands, shift systems, and inappropriate salaries. This study aims to examine the effect of work life balance and salary on job hopping intention in Generation z employees in the culinary sector F & b Surabaya. The study used a quantitative approach with purposive sampling technique on 72 Generation z employees aged 19-29 years who worked for at least six months, had permanent or contract employee status, and had changed jobs at least once. Data were collected through Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS). The results showed that work life balance and salary have a negative and significant effect on job hopping intention. These findings suggest that improved work-life balance and fair pay can reduce the tendency of job hopping in Generation Z employees.
