Abstract
The backend development for optimizing the dashboard application at PT Perkebunan Nusantara 1 Regional 5 was carried out to improve the performance and reliability of the company's operational dashboard. The dashboard plays a crucial role in visualizing real-time operational data to support strategic decision-making. However, the initial implementation encountered several challenges, including slow data processing, inefficient database structure, and limited system integration. During this internship, the backend was developed using the Laravel framework and RESTful APIs to enhance system performance, scalability, and maintainability. The Waterfall methodology was applied, consisting of the stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and revision. The development results included faster data access, improved user interface responsiveness, and enhanced dashboard features such as navigation, data visualization, and user notifications. This development provided significant benefits to the company by improving operational efficiency, while also offering valuable hands-on experience for the student in developing modern technology-based applications. With these optimizations, the dashboard application is capable of presenting more accurate and relevant data, thereby supporting increased productivity at PT Perkebunan Nusantara 1 Regional 5.
