Abstract
This study aims to analyze and compare the news framing of Detik.com and Kompas.com regarding Indonesia's diplomatic decision to join the Board of Peace (BoP), an international institution established by United States President Donald Trump on January 22, 2026, for the stabilization and post-conflict reconstruction of Gaza. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach using Robert N. Entman's framing analysis model, encompassing four elements: define problem, diagnose cause, make moral judgments, and suggest remedies, supported by Berger and Luckman's social construction theory. The research corpus consists of 20 news texts 10 articles each from Detik.com and Kompas.com published between January 22 and February 23, 2026. The findings reveal significant differences in framing orientation between the two outlets. Detik.com frames the issue positively and in a pro-government manner, emphasizing humanitarian values, solidarity, and national pride. Conversely, Kompas.com frames the issue more critically by presenting multiple perspectives and foregrounding values of accountability and diplomatic vigilance. These differences reflect each outlet's social construction process shaped by its editorial orientation and media ownership, which ultimately influences public perception of Indonesia's foreign policy.
