Abstract

The ability to analyze data is one of the main competencies needed by the business world, especially in financial management and accounts receivable. Accounts receivable, which is a company's right of claim for payment of goods or services, affects business liquidity and sustainability. One of the main challenges in managing accounts receivable is overdue payments, which can lead to cash flow disruption and risk of financial loss. In this project, factors affecting overdue payments were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the stepwise method. This analysis used 218 accounts receivable data, with the dependent variable being the number of days overdue and independent variables such as total invoices, advances, payments, lead time payments, and total paid. The results of the analysis show that lead time payment is the most significant factor in influencing late payment. The findings provide strategic recommendations for companies, such as accelerating the customer payment process to reduce the risk of delays and improve cash flow efficiency. This project reflects the integration between theory and practice, where students are able to hone their data analysis skills using statistical software, provide relevant insights for the company, and increase their real contribution in solving complex business problems.
