Abstract
Tourism development has become one of the strategies for promoting regional development and improving community welfare through the utilization of local potential. Kampung Majapahit Bejijong Tourism Village is a culture-based tourism village that has experienced development and has influenced the socio-economic conditions of the local community. This study aims to analyze the impact of tourism development on the socio-economic conditions of the local community in Kampung Majapahit Bejijong Tourism Village. This study employed a qualitative approach with data collection techniques consisting of interviews, observations, and documentation. The informants included tourism village managers, village officials, and community members who were directly and indirectly involved in tourism activities. Data were analyzed using an interactive analysis technique through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that tourism development has I mpacted the social conditions of the community through increased openness, changes in community roles and activities, and increased community participation in tourism activities. Economic impacts were reflected in the creation of new employment opportunities, increased community income, and changes in community welfare levels. However, the economic benefits received by the community varied depending on the level of community involvement in tourism activities.
