Abstract
The Internship Program (PKL) offers students the opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired during their studies to the professional workplace. This internship was conducted at PT Jawapos Media Televisi (JTV), located at Jl. A. Yani No. 88, Surabaya, East Java, for a duration of one month, from August 13, 2024, to September 13, 2024. The company operates in the television media sector, focusing on delivering news and entertainment programs. During the internship, the author was assigned to the Library Division (Program) to support the evaluation of the performance of news programs. The primary focus of this activity was the utilization of the Power BI application to analyze the performance of the flagship news program, Jatim Awan. This analysis involved processing audience data, identifying presenters, video themes, and the program's effectiveness in attracting audiences. Additionally, the author was responsible for data input tasks, alternating with fellow interns in the Library Division. The data processed was sourced from Nielsen data. The outcome of these activities was the development of an interactive dashboard using Power BI, presenting a comprehensive visualization of the program's performance. This dashboard facilitated the editorial and management teams in making strategic decisions to enhance the quality of the Jatim Awan program in the future. Thus, this internship provided the author with practical experience in applying data analysis concepts within the media industry.
