Abstract
. Shallots obstacles in the production of botanical seeds (True Shallot Seed) in the Batu Ijo variety is the low percentage of flowering plants and the asynchronous flowering time. This study aims to determine the interaction between the length of vernalization and the concentration of paclobutrazol, and to determine the best length of vernalization and concentration of paclobutrazol to increase growth and flowering in the Batu Ijo variety of shallots. This study used a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two factors. The first factor is the length of vernalization (L) which consists of 3 levels: 2 weeks, 4 weeks, and 6 weeks. The second factor is the concentration of paclobutrazol (K) which consists of 3 levels: 150 ppm, 200 ppm, and 250 ppm. The results showed that a single factor of 6 weeks of vernalization time significantly affected plant length and leaf number in the early phase (7-14 days after planting). Paclobutrazol concentration significantly affected leaf number at 28, 35, and 42 days after planting. In the generative phase, the combination of 6 weeks of vernalization time and 150 ppm paclobutrazol concentration showed the best response Keywords: Shallots, Green Stone, Vernalization, Paclobutrazol, TSS
