Abstract

Vegetables are a community need that must be met. Vegetable consumption in Madiun City increases annually, coupled with inadequate vegetable availability, which also impacts the allocation of community income to expenditure. This creates an imbalance between community income and expenditure in Madiun City. The government is seeking a solution by implementing a yard utilization program, the Sustainable Food Yard (P2L). This P2L program encourages the community to be more environmentally conscious through horticultural cultivation. It is hoped that the results of the P2L program can be marketed and contribute to the community's economic and social well-being. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of the P2L program, from the procurement of agricultural equipment and materials, through cultivation, to the sale of produce, using descriptive analysis. The program's contribution to members' income is analyzed using a contribution analysis of (yard income)/(household income) 100%. The study population was the "Pari Mandiri" P2L group, with a census sample of 30 individuals. The results showed that the "Pari Mandiri" P2L group had implemented the program well, from providing equipment and materials to the cultivation process. Therefore, the P2L program had an impact on income and reduced community expenses, especially on vegetable needs. The contribution percentage level was 10%, indicating that the "Pari Mandiri" P2L group members were at a relatively low level, but this P2L program was feasible to sustain. The results of the member welfare level are at 0.78, which means they are more prosperous. Keywords: Vegetables; P2L Program; Cultivation; Contribution; Incom
