Abstract
Indonesia is a maritime country that has a great opportunity to export because it has quite extensive waters with abundant natural resources. The role of the fisheries subsector is very important for the national economy in exporting the fisheries subsector. Shrimp is the highest export fishery commodity with a constant amount per year. Shrimp have high economic value so the prospect of shrimp exports is very promising. The success of a country in international trade can be seen from its competitiveness, which refers to a commitment to market competition. Indonesia's shrimp export market share is not proportional to the value of Indonesia's shrimp exports. This study aims to analyze the competitiveness of Indonesian shrimp exports in the United States, Japan, China and the Netherlands. Analyze the factors that affect the volume of Indonesian shrimp exports in the United States, Japan, China and the Netherlands. Formulate strategies that can support the success and increase the competitiveness of Indonesian shrimp in the markets of the United States, Japan, China and the Netherlands. The data used are annual data from 2007 to 2018. The analytical method used in this study is Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) to analyze the competitiveness of Indonesian shrimp, Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) to determine the factors that affect exports. The results showed that Indonesia's competitiveness has a value of more than one RCA so that it has strong competitiveness. Factors that influence the competitiveness of shrimp exports are export prices, production, exchange rates and income per capita have a positive and significant effect. The strategy used is to balance and stabilize the price and the rupiah exchange rate. Keywords: Shrimp export competitiveness, Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), Ordinary Least Squares (OLS)
