Abstract
The development of e-commerce in Indonesia is more and more popular. Shopee is present as one of the electronic trading platforms that has developed in the form of mobile applications. This study aims to determine the effect of 4 predictor variables from the United Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) method, as one of the technology acceptance models that are widely used to accept the use of Shopee e-commerce applications. The technique of determining the sample using purposive sampling and data collection methods is a questionnaire. In analyzing the data, researchers used multiple linear regression analysis with the help of the SPSS 20. The respondents in this study were 100 users of Shopee e-commerce applications in the City of Surabaya. The results of this study indicate that there is a partial effect of 3 predictor variables, namely effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions, while 1 other variable, namely performance expectancy has no partial effect on the acceptance of e application use e-commerce shopee. In addition, there is a simultaneous influence of all four or all of the predictor variables on the acceptance of the use of Shopee e-commerce applications.
