Abstract
Field Work Practice (PKL) was conducted at PT Petrokimia Gresik in the Production IIIA Department, Phosphoric Acid Unit. This activity aimed to understand the phosphoric acid production process, equipment operation systems, and process control implemented in the fertilizer and chemical industry. During the internship, observations were carried out on the production flow starting from raw material handling, reaction processes, separation stages, to product and waste management. In addition, occupational health and safety (OHS) implementation, product quality control, and utility systems supporting the production process were also studied. Through this activity, practical understanding of engineering applications and industrial processes, particularly in the operation of the Phosphoric Acid Unit, was obtained. This internship is expected to improve students’ knowledge, skills, and readiness to face the industrial working environment.
