Abstract
The selection process for Fully Funded Volunteer participants is a crucial procedure that requires accuracy and objectivity, as each candidate possesses different levels of skills and competencies. In manual processes, assessments often take a long time, lack structure, and carry a high potential for subjectivity. Therefore, a Decision Support System (DSS) is needed to assist the committee in conducting the selection based on defined criteria. This study aims to develop a Decision Support System (DSS) for volunteer participant selection using the Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS) method. The WASPAS method is chosen because it combines the Weighted Sum Model (WSM) and the Weighted Product Model (WPM), resulting in more stable and accurate preference values. The study utilizes five main criteria: Essay, Public Speaking, Problem Solving, Leadership, and Experience. The system is developed using the Flask framework with an SQLite database and includes features for participant data management, criteria management, automatic WASPAS calculation, and final result presentation in the form of Qi values and participant rankings. The results show that the WASPAS method successfully determines the best participant based on the highest score. The participant with the highest score is Chatarina Ovy Mayta with a Qi value of 0.94 based on manual calculations. In addition, the System Usability Scale (SUS) testing produced a score of 75.6, which falls into the “good” and “acceptable” categories.Based on the implementation and testing results, it can be concluded that this Decision Support System effectively assists the committee in conducting the selection process in an objective, efficient, and structured manner.
