Abstract
The development of financial technology encourages students to manage their finances effectively through the use of digital services. The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of financial literacy and psychological conditions, namely locus of control and self-efficacy, on financial management behavior. Furthermore, this study examines the role of gender in moderating the influence of digital financial literacy and psychological conditions on financial management behavior. The subjects of this study were students at a state university in Surabaya. The quantitative method used was primary data obtained through questionnaires. The sample size was 205 students surveyed using random sampling. Data analysis used the PLS technique using the SmartPLS4 application. The study showed that digital financial literacy and self-efficacy had a significant positive effect on financial management behavior, while locus of control had an insignificant effect. Gender did not moderate the influence of digital financial literacy and psychological conditions, either locus of control or self-efficacy, on the financial management behavior of students at State Universities in Surabaya. Keywords: Digital financial literacy, locus of control, self-efficacy, financial management behavior, gender
