Abstract

Lettuce, being a vegetable that encompasses various varieties, necessitates distinct nutrient concentrations tailored to each variety to attain optimal growth and yield. This study aims to determine the growth and yield responses of various types of lettuce with the addition of liquid organic fertilizer. Factorial experiment using a split-plot design (SPD) with a completely randomized design (CRD) environment with two factors, the main plot consisted of three levels of liquid organic fertilizer concentration (0 ml/L, 6 ml/L, 9 ml/L) and subplot consisted of three levels of variety of lettuce (Romaine, Green Curly, Butterhead). Analysis of variance was performed using ANOVA calculations, and a least significant difference test was conducted at a 5% level. The treatment combination of Butterhead lettuce and the addition concentration of 9 ml/L LOF produced better results for the number of leaves at 28 DAP. The single treatment of Romaine lettuce produced better results for all parameters. The single treatment of adding a concentration of 9 ml/L LOF affected the parameters of plant height at 14, 21, and 35 DAP, number of leaves at 14, 21, and 35-42 DAP, canopy width at 14-42 DAP, fresh root weight, and fresh canopy weight.
