Abstract
In the current digital era, websites play an important role as a communication tool and also as a digital representation for an educational institution. Its role as a means of communication is not only limited to disseminating information but also reflects the identity of the institution. The important implications of this role can be seen at the Faculty of Agriculture, UPN "Veteran" East Java. In this context, updating and maintaining the website of the Faculty of Agriculture, UPN "Veteran" East Java, is very important, starting from optimizing the appearance, increasing functionality, and performing performance analysis, so that the website can become the main window for interaction between educational institutions with students, prospective students, lecturers, and also the general public. The importance of updates and maintenance lies in efforts to improve the user experience, communication effectiveness, and overall website performance. In the digital era, it cannot be known that websites have become the main source of information accessed by many individuals in searching for information about faculties, study programs, and activities, as well as the latest news and announcements. Therefore, optimizing appearance and functionality is very important so that the website remains attractive, easy to navigate, and informative. This fieldwork practice involves an in-depth analysis of previous website performance. The main focus is to identify existing problems with appearance, functionality, and user effectiveness. This step is necessary to identify necessary improvements to provide a positive impact and optimize functionality in the long term. The results of field work practices in optimizing appearance, functionality, and performance analysis are expected to contribute to and increase the effectiveness of communication at the Faculty of Agriculture, UPN "Veteran" East Java, through an optimized website, providing better information to prospective students, making it easier for students to search for information, and overall supporting the mission of education and empowerment in the agricultural sector.
