Abstract
Raw material inventory is one of the important factors in supporting the smooth production process. PT Herba Emas Wahidatama, as a company processing products made from date palm juice, faces problems in controlling raw material inventory due to the lack of optimal ordering quantity and timing. This study aims to analyze the control of date palm juice raw material inventory and determine the most economical order quantity using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the optimal order quantity based on the EOQ method is smaller than the ordering policy implemented by the company, but is carried out more frequently. The application of the EOQ method results in a lower average inventory and is able to reduce total inventory costs. In addition, determining safety stock and reorder points helps the company in anticipating uncertainty in demand and lead time so that the risk of running out of raw materials can be minimized.
