Abstract

The Internship Program (PKL) is a crucial academic activity that allows students to apply the theoretical knowledge gained during their studies into real-world work environments. This program offers students the opportunity to be directly involved in institutional work processes while also enhancing their technical and professional skills. This report discusses the implementation of a web-based online attendance system for internship students at the Kalirungkut Sub-district Office, Surabaya, using the modern framework Next.js, integrated with Supabase as the database and Tailwind CSS for user interface styling. The system is designed to replace the previously used manual attendance method, which is considered inefficient, prone to data loss, and lacks real-time monitoring capabilities. The system was developed using a fullstack approach with component-based design and includes role-based functionalities for admins, internship participants, and field supervisors. Key features include login, role-based dashboards, work schedules, attendance forms, and automated attendance reports, all accessible online with responsive design. The implementation results show that the system functions effectively, improves operational efficiency, increases data accuracy, and supports practical digitalization of administrative tasks at the sub-district office. This project not only enhances internship administration services but also serves as a real-world learning experience for students in developing web-based information systems that are directly applicable.
