Abstract

The trend of financial investment in Indonesia is showing rapid development, especially among millennials. But increased participation this has not been fully balanced by an adequate understanding of risk and financial management, resulting in vulnerability to illegal investment practices. Based on this phenomenon, this study aims at to analyze the effect of financial literacy, perception of return, and risk perception against investment decisions with income as a moderation variable in millennials in Jombang Regency. This study used a quantitative method using the Partial approach Least Squares (PLS) and involving 100 respondents are generations millennials in Jombang Regency. Sampling techniques are carried out on a regular basis purposive sampling, and data collected using scale-based questionnaires Likert. Analysis of the data was conducted with the help of Smart PLS 4 software to tests direct influence or moderation effects between variables. Research results show that financial literacy cannot be used contribute to investment decisions, while perception of returns and risk perception can contribute to investment decisions. In addition, income cannot contribute to moderating relationship between financial literacy, perception of return, and risk perception of an investment decision These findings confirm that individual perceptual factors to potential benefits and risks has a greater impact on the risk of risk. compared with income factors in determining investment decisions millennials.
