Abstract
This study aimed to determine the optimal combination of seaweed extract biostimulant concentration and guano fertilizer dosage in improving the growth and yield of eggplant (Solanum melongena L.). The experiment was conducted using a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors: biostimulant concentrations (0, 7, 9, and 11 ml/L) and guano fertilizer dosages (50, 60, and 70 g/plant), resulting in 12 treatment combinations with three replications, totaling 108 plants. The results revealed a significant interaction between the seaweed extract biostimulant and guano fertilizer on eggplant yield. The combination of 9 ml/L biostimulant and 60 g guano fertilizer produced the best performance, showing effectiveness in plant height, number of leaves at 28, 42, and 56 DAP, flowering time, fruit diameter, fruit weight during the second harvest, and total fruit weight per plant. The combination of 11 ml/L biostimulant and 60 g guano fertilizer produced optimal plant height at 42 DAP. Overall, the combination of seaweed extract biostimulant and guano fertilizer effectively enhanced the growth and productivity of eggplant plants.
