Abstract
Kebonagung Village in Gresik Regency, East Java, is known as the largest lime production market in Indonesia and has very strategic agricultural potential. This study aims to analyze group dynamics in the Kebonagung Farmer Group, to analyze the ecological, social and economic sustainability of lime farming and the relationship between group dynamics and the sustainability of lime farming. The sample in this study consisted of 75 people. Quantitative descriptive analysis was used to examine group dynamics, while Weight Mean Score (WMS) was used to examine ecological and social sustainability. Economic sustainability was examined using income analysis and farming feasibility, while the relationship between group dynamics and farming sustainability was examined using Pearson's correlation test. The results of the study show that the Kebonagung Farmer Group is classified as a dynamic farmer group, characterized by well-functioning group dynamics, harmonious relationships between members, and solid cooperation in achieving common and individual goals. Lime farming in Kebonagung Village is classified as highly sustainable in ecological, social, and economic dimensions, as demonstrated by the use of organic fertilizers and government education, social relationships and support among farmers, and economically viable business profits. Group dynamics are closely related to the sustainability of lime farming through the elements of purpose, task function, development and maintenance, cohesiveness, atmosphere, and effectiveness that encourage commitment, discipline, cooperation, and increased productivity and market access, while group structure and group pressure do not have a strong influence because they are administrative in nature and only serve as a disciplinary incentive. Keywords: Group Dynamics, Sustainability, Farming, Lime, Pearson Correlation
