Abstract
Leaf spot disease caused by Helminthosporium oryzae is one of the common diseases affecting rice plants, and it poses a significant concern in the cultivation of organic gogo rice. There are sustainable agricultural management strategies that can be applied, one of which is the use of environmentally friendly biopesticides that can suppress the development of plant diseases. The content of various microorganisms in the FOBIO biopesticide is expected to be able to suppress the disease, either intentionally isolated from plant roots or present within its carrier medium. The objective of this study was to determine the potential of various concentrations of the FOBIO biopesticide in suppressing the development of the pathogen H. oryzae, which causes leaf spot disease in organic gogo rice. This study used a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments in this study were: KT as the control (0 ml/liter concentration), FA (5 ml/liter concentration), FB (10 ml/liter concentration), and FC (15 ml/liter concentration), with an application dose of 8 liters per plot. The results showed that the different concentrations of the biopesticide were effective in suppressing the development of H. oryzae fungus to varying degrees. The treatment with a concentration of 10 ml/liter (FB) showed the lowest disease severity intensity, at 53.47%. Keywords: FOBIO biopesticide, organic gogo rice, Helminthosporium oryzae, disease intensity.
