Abstract
Technological advancements in the urea industry continue to progress, one of which is the transition from the **Aces 21 system to the Aces 21 LP system**. The previous Aces 21 system operated at a synthesis pressure of **152 bar (154.997 kg/cm²)**, whereas the updated Aces 21 LP system operates at a reduced synthesis pressure of **136 bar (138.681 kg/cm²)**. This reduction in synthesis pressure—implemented to improve energy efficiency—affects various operational parameters such as pump discharge pressure, compressor discharge pressure, and steam requirements for turbines. With the decrease in compressor discharge pressure, the steam demand is automatically reduced, subsequently lowering the overall energy consumption of the system. The reduction of synthesis pressure from 152 bar to 136 bar not only impacts the operation of major equipment but also has significant implications for process efficiency and production costs. A decrease in steam demand results in reduced fuel consumption for the boiler, which directly lowers operational expenses. The economic impact of this pressure reduction must be analyzed comprehensively to ensure that the lower operating costs remain aligned with production stability and the quality of the product produced.
