Abstract
The implementation of Community Based Tourism in the Lali Gadget Village area is strengthened by the role of the Local Community as the main driver in planning and assisting the implementation of educational tourism activities with traditional games. With this, the consistency of organizing tourism activities with traditional games can attract public attention and open up various opportunities for the surrounding community, such as economic opportunities, strengthening socio-cultural values, environmental preservation, and increasing the involvement of various parties. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the success of implementing the Community-Based Tourism model in the development of community-based tourism in Kampung Lali Gadget. This research uses qualitative research. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques consisted of data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The theory used was the concept of Community-Based Tourism by Potjana Suansri. The technique for determining informants in this study was purposive sampling. The informants in this study consisted of the Head of the Kampung Lali Gadget Foundation, the Operational Management of Kampung Lali Gadget or the Head of Guides, the Tourism Division of Disporapar Sidoarjo, the Management of Kampung Lali Gadget (housekeeping), the local community around Kampung Lali Gadget, and tourists visiting Kampung Lali Gadget. The results of the study show that through the role of the managing community in developing various dimensions of Community-Based Tourism, it has been successful and implemented optimally. The success of the implementation of Community-Based Tourism is reflected in the economic benefits felt by the local community around Kampung Lali Gadget, the reciprocity of socio-cultural values, maintaining a balance between tourism activities and the environment around Kampung Lali Gadget, and its success in collaborating with various parties.
