Abstract

This study examines the effect of infrastructure development on Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in West Nusa Tenggara Province from 1998 to 2024. The independent variables used are road length, clean water supply, and electricity distribution, while the dependent variable is GRDP, both in aggregate and by sector (agriculture, mining, and trade). The research applies a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis using secondary time-series data from the Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) of West Nusa Tenggara. The results show that simultaneously, road length, clean water supply, and electricity distribution have a significant effect on total GRDP and sectoral GRDP. Partially, road length has a significant negative effect on GRDP, while clean water supply significantly and positively affects total GRDP, agriculture, and trade sectors but not mining. Electricity distribution has a significant positive impact on total GRDP and all sectors. These findings confirm the endogenous growth theory which highlights the role of public infrastructure as a driver of productivity and long-term growth. The study suggests that infrastructure development in West Nusa Tenggara must be better integrated and sector-oriented to maximize its contribution to regional economic growth.
