Abstract
This study aims to analyze the strategic management of the Organic Farming Innovation Village Program (DITO) in improving agriculture in Purwoasri District, Kediri Regency. The research employed a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The informants consisted of the Head of the Food Management Division of the Kediri Regency Agriculture and Plantation Office, Agricultural Extension Workers in Purwoasri District, and local organic farmer groups. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the stages of data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The findings reveal that the strategic management of the DITO Program, referring to Wheelen & Hunger’s framework, has been systematically implemented through four main stages: (1) environmental scanning, by mapping land potential and farmer conditions; (2) strategy formulation, through defining the vision, mission, and policy direction of organic farming; (3) strategy implementation, consisting of training, technical assistance, provision of production facilities, and facilitation of organic certification; and (4) evaluation and control, carried out through monitoring, coordination meetings, and policy adjustments. Overall, the program has successfully enhanced the productivity and diversification of organic agricultural products, strengthened farmer institutions, and supported regional food security. However, challenges remain, particularly regarding limited human resources and promotional funding to expand production scale. Keywords: Strategic Management; Organic Farming; DITO Program; Purwoasri
