Abstract
A repository system is a platform designed to store, manage, and provide access to data or information. This research aims to develop a web-based journal repository system utilizing Semantic Web technology as a solution for the Faculty of Computer Science at UPN "Veteran" East Java. The faculty faces challenges with journal data being scattered across various platforms, making it difficult for users to efficiently access information. Furthermore, keyword-based search often produces irrelevant results because the system cannot understand the semantic context of the search queries. The developed repository system includes several key features, such as semantic-based article and author search, as well as journal data management functionalities including adding, editing, and deleting data. The system was built using Next.js for the user interface, Apache Jena Fuseki for ontology management, and MySQL for user authentication. The testing results indicate that the system performs according to the specified requirements. Based on Black Box testing and SPARQL query testing, all test scenarios were declared 100% valid. The accuracy of the search functionality was evaluated using Recall (R), Precision (P), and F1-Score (F-1) metrics, with the results showing that most searches achieved almost perfect Recall, Precision, and F1-Score values. With this system, lecturers and students of the Faculty of Computer Science at UPN "Veteran" East Java can easily access and manage journal data. This research is expected to serve as a reference for future development of academic repositories based on Semantic Web technology.
