Abstract
Copper oxide (CuO) is a p-type semiconductor material with wide applications in catalysis, gas sensors, and renewable energy.. This study aims to synthesize CuO nanoparticles using the chemical precipitation method, with waste copper wire as the raw material and sodium hydroxide (NaOH) as the precipitating agent. The synthesis process was conducted with variations in solution pH and thermal dehydration temperature to optimize the particle size and morphology. The material was characterized using X-ray Diffraction (XRD). The XRD results showed the formation of a CuO phase with a monoclinic crystal structure and an average particle size of 75.5 nm
