Abstract

With an area of 147.19 km², South Tangerang City is the second smallest city in Banten Province. Despite its limited size, this city has a high population density. The need for housing is increasing amid limited land and environmental problems such as air pollution and waste that need to be addressed immediately. The design of condominiums in South Tangerang with a green architecture approach is the right solution to overcome this problem. Condominiums are a type of vertical housing targeted at the upper-middle class. Condominiums differ from flats and apartments in terms of facilities and regulations. Green architecture is a design approach that focuses on creating environmentally friendly buildings. The use of the pattern-based method in condominium design aims to provide solutions to existing problems. The pattern-based method in green architecture can provide solutions to air pollution by integrating design elements that support natural ventilation, the use of plants as pollutant absorbers, and spatial arrangements that maximize natural lighting. The design of condominiums using the Pattern-based Method, which takes into account the principles of green architecture, was carried out to create residences that are efficient in land use and environmentally friendly. Elements of green architecture principles were applied in the design, taking into account environmental harmony using a modern architectural style. Condominiums in South Tangerang with a green architectural approach provide comfortable and safe living spaces to meet daily needs and activities. Eco-friendly living spaces in South Tangerang City are created through condominium design with a green architecture approach.
