Abstract
These country engaged in the production of wooden toys. In the production process, companies often occur experience problem. During the ordering process, the company experiences fluctuating demand. In dealing with these fluctuations, the companies does not anticipate well. As a result, when demand going high and the order of raw material have not arrived yet, this can potentially lead to stockouts. If this happens repeatedly then the company will lose potential profit. On the other hand, if there are excess inventory and it is stored for too long, it can make inventory costs swell. The purpose of this study was to determine the control of pine wood supply with fluctuating demand at these company. The calculation results obtained with the minimum total inventory cost is Continuous Review (Q) Lost Sales method of Rp.1.230.366.286,- and the company method of Rp. 1.292.701.579,- so that the savings of Rp.62.335.293,-. The number of orders for August 2021-July 2023 is 608 blocks with a total inventory cost of Rp. 1.305.828.069.
