Abstract
The Liquified Petroleum Gas Facility (LPGF) at the Molecular Sieve Dehydration Unit of PGN Saka Indonesia Pangkah Limited (SIPL) plays a crucial role in ensuring gas quality and reliability for downstream processing and distribution. This study discusses the operational principles, design considerations, and performance aspects of the LPGF, with a particular focus on its dehydration process using molecular sieves. The molecular sieve dehydration unit is designed to remove water content from natural gas in order to prevent hydrate formation, corrosion, and pipeline blockages. Data and observations from the facility highlight the efficiency, operational challenges, and optimization strategies applied to maintain continuous operation. The results indicate that proper regeneration cycles, temperature and pressure control, and sorbent material management are critical to sustaining dehydration efficiency and ensuring compliance with product specifications. This analysis provides valuable insights into the role of LPGF in natural gas processing and its contribution to the overall operational integrity of the SIPL facility.
