Abstract
Interregional economic disparity remains a major challenge in the development of Banten Province. Based on the Williamson index, the disparity level is considered high, at above 0.5. This disparity is also reflected in differences in economic contribution among regencies/municipalities, levels of welfare, and access to public services. This study aims to analyze the influence of economic growth, education level, open unemployment rate, and the General Allocation Fund on the economic disparity of regencies/municipalities in Banten Province from 2010 to 2024. The research uses secondary time series data obtained from official sources such as the Central Statistics Agency and the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance. A quantitative approach is applied using multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that economic growth has a negative and significant effect on economic disparity, while the open unemployment rate has a positive and significant effect on economic disparity. Meanwhile, education level and the General Allocation Fund do not have a significant effect. These findings indicate that increasing economic growth and reducing the unemployment rate can help lower interregional economic disparities. However, further evaluation is needed for education policies and fiscal distribution to make them more effective in promoting equitable development in Banten Province.
