Abstract
Low economic growth compared to the national average is a major challenge for development in East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT), where the population continues to increase, open unemployment persists, and poverty rates tend to be high. This study aims to analyze the influence of population size, open unemployment rate, and poverty rate on economic growth in NTT Province during the period 2004–2023. This study employs a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis. Secondary data were obtained from official publications of the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). The analysis results indicate that the three independent variables—population size, open unemployment rate, and poverty rate—simultaneously have a negative impact on economic growth in NTT Province.
