Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effects of various growing media and concentrations of Gandasil D foliar fertilizer on the growth and yield of mustard plants (Brassica juncea L.) using a wick hydroponic system. The research was conducted in the Greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture at UPN "Veteran" East Java during June–July 2025. A factorial completely randomized design was employed, consisting of 12 treatments and 3 replications, and the data were analyzed using the BNJ test at a 5% significance level. Observational parameters included plant height, number of leaves, root length, wet weight of roots, wet weight of stems and leaves, total plant weight, leaf area, and harvest index. The results indicated that the combination of rockwool growing media and a foliar fertilizer concentration of 2 g/L had the best effect on most growth and yield parameters of mustard plants. Higher concentrations of foliar fertilizer did not show a significant increase in yield. Rockwool growing media proved to be the most optimal in supporting plant growth in the wick hydroponic system.
