Abstract

Purple eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) is one of the most popular horticultural commodities in Indonesia. The need and demand for purple eggplant every year continues to increase along with the increase in population, but purple eggplant production in some areas is still quite low including Bulurejo Village, Rengel District, Tuban Regency, due to limited fertile land due to land conversion. One of the efforts to increase puple eggplant production is the use of organic materials such ah husk chorcoal and foliar fertilizers such as Gandasil B. This study was conducted with the aim of determining the knowing the right dose and concentration of husk chorcoal and Gandasil B fertilizer that can provide maximum production results. This research was conducted from December 2024 to March 2025 in Bulurejo Village, Rengel District, Tuban Regency, East Java. This research was designed using a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two treatment factors, namely the dose of husk charcoal ( 0, 100, 150, and 200 g/plant) and the concentration of Gandasil B (0, 2, 3, 4 g/L). The results showed a real interaction between the treatment of husk charcoal 200g/plant and the concentration of Gandasil B 3g/l which resulted in the highest number of total flowers per plant, total fruit per plant, and total fruit weight per plant but not significantly different from the treatment of husk charcoal 150 g/plant and the concentration of Gandasil B 3 g/l, and the treatment of husk charcoal 200 g/plant and the concentration of Gandasil B 4 g/l. The novelty of this study lies in identifying the interaction between husk charcoal and Gandasil B which has not been widely studied factorially in purple eggplant.
