Abstract
Pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.), a popular Brassicaceae vegetable in Indonesia, is easily recognized by its broad green leaves and stems, often called "spoon mustard." However, its productivity in Indonesia faces challenges due to climate change, improper cultivation techniques, declining soil fertility, and reduced agricultural land from conversion. To combat these issues and boost vegetable production, hydroponic cultivation, especially the wick system, offers a promising solution. Enhancing pakcoy yield also involves optimizing nutrient uptake, particularly through the use of Gandasil D foliar fertilizer. This research aimed to determine the effects of AB Mix and Gandasil D foliar fertilizer concentrations on the growth and yield of pakcoy in a wick hydroponic system. Conducted at a researcher's garden in Gubeng District, Surabaya City, from May to July 2025, the study employed a Factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The first factor was AB Mix concentration (500 ppm, 1000 ppm, 1500 ppm), and the second was Gandasil D foliar fertilizer concentration (Control, 1 g/L, 2 g/L, 3 g/L). Data were analyzed using the Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) test at a 5% significance level. The findings revealed a significant interaction between AB Mix and Gandasil D concentrations on total plant dry weight and shoot dry weight. The optimal treatment combination was 1500 ppm AB Mix and 2 g/L Gandasil D. The AB Mix nutrient concentration significantly influenced all observed parameters, with 1500 ppm being the most effective. Similarly, Gandasil D foliar fertilizer significantly affected total fresh weight and shoot fresh weight, with 2 g/L yielding the best results.
