Abstract
This internship report discusses the activities and experiences undertaken during the Practical Field Work (PKL) program at PT Sinergi Gula Nusantara – PG Meritjan, located in Kediri, East Java. The internship was conducted in the Quality Assurance Department from September 1 to September 30, 2024. The objective of this program was to apply academic knowledge to real-world industrial operations, particularly in the sugar production process. The report covers an overview of the company’s history, organizational structure, and detailed sugar production processes including milling, purification, evaporation, crystallization, and packaging. Special attention was given to quality assurance practices and laboratory analyses used to monitor raw materials, production stages, and final products to ensure they meet quality standards. In addition, the report includes a special assignment focusing on the analysis of boiler efficiency as part of energy management. The internship provided valuable insights into industrial operations and emphasized the importance of maintaining product quality and process efficiency in the sugar manufacturing industry.
