Abstract

Pet care applications have become essential tools in assisting pet owners with the care and management of their pets' health. In an effort to meet this need, this application is designed as a mobile solution using the Kotlin programming language. The main objective of the application is to provide easy access to information related to pet care, vaccination schedules, and overall pet health in a practical and efficient manner through mobile devices. Users can access various features designed to enhance the quality of pet care. Key features include the My Pets feature, which allows users to monitor their pets, complete with charts and reminders for care schedules. Additionally, the Blog feature provides pet care tips, while the Products and Services feature offers recommendations for relevant products and services. Thus, the application is expected to assist pet owners in monitoring and maintaining the health of their beloved pets more efficiently. The development of this application adopts a Mobile First Design approach to ensure a responsive and user-friendly interface across various mobile devices. Kotlin was chosen as the programming language due to its advantages in producing safer and more expressive code, as well as its excellent integration with Android Studio, the primary platform for Android app development. The result of this application's development is expected to make a positive contribution to overall pet care by providing an effective and efficient tool for pet owners to monitor and maintain their pets' health. Furthermore, this application is expected to raise public awareness of the importance of regular and comprehensive pet care.
