Abstract
The elderly are very susceptible to diseases, usually diseases that often arise in the elderly human body is a bone joint disease. Disease in these joints is caused by degeneration or damage to the surface of the bone joints that are often found in the elderly. The facility of Hidayah Waru Clinic is very supportive of activities for treatment or examination of the patient's body condition, an increase in the number of patients in the clinic must also be followed by additional facilities, one of which is waiting chairs for patients. However, the waiting chairs are in the form of 3 iron bars that are put together so that it reduces the level of comfort, especially for the elderly and arguably there are no waiting chairs that are right for the elderly. This study aims to designing and making ergonomic waiting chairs for the elderly at the Waru hidayah clinic using the method of Pahl & Beitz. Object of research is done by collecting anthropometric data as many as 40 samples were selected, along designing and making nets in accordance with the data. The results of the study recommend nets specification corresponding for the elderly. Keywords: Ergonomics, Anthropometry, Waiting Chairs For The Elderly , Method Pahl & Beitz
