Abstract
Investment can be considered as a long-term financial bet on business performance in the hope of obtaining future returns. Therefore, investors need to analyze business conditions in order to realize their investment goals. This study aims to analyze the effect of Earning per Share (EPS), Price Earning Ratio (PER), and dividend policy on stock returns in insurance subsector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sample in this study was selected using purposive sampling method, so that 16 insurance companies were obtained during the period 2020-2023. Data analysis was carried out using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach using SmartPLS tools. The results showed that EPS has a significant positive effect on stock returns. PER also has a significant positive effect on stock returns. However, dividend policy is unable to mediate the effect of EPS on stock returns. Conversely, dividend policy negatively mediates the effect of PER on stock returns.
