Abstract

Mount Bromo is one of the most iconic mountains in Indonesia, renowned for its stunning landscape. The government of Probolinggo Regency has initiated a program aimed at making the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park one of the most visited tourist destinations. This is evident from the increase in the daily visitor quota from 2,750 to 3,500 people. As more tourists come, the demand for accommodation facilities also rises. To meet this demand, it is essential to develop lodging facilities such as resorts that maximize the potential of the surrounding environment. The resort to be designed will carry the theme “Healing Accommodation with Nature”, aimed at providing comfort and freshness through an architectural approach that harmonizes with nature. Therefore, Biophilic Architecture is chosen as the design approach, allowing the building to incorporate natural elements such as sunlight, natural ventilation, vegetation, and environmentally friendly local materials. This approach is further supported by the Human-Centered Design method, which focuses on the needs and experiences of the building's users. By applying these principles, the resort is envisioned not only as a place to rest but also as a space that integrates guests with nature.
