Abstract
This Field Work Practice (PKL) aims to develop a system capable of converting images into text using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and OpenCV technology. This system is designed to help PT. Temprina Media Grafika in improving the efficiency and accuracy of the process of checking stacks of books that have been done manually. The system development process involves several stages, namely image preprocessing, text area detection, and text conversion using OCR. This system was tested with a dataset provided by the company, and the results showed a high level of accuracy in reading text in images with adequate lighting and resolution conditions. In addition, the use of a database for storing and synchronizing converted data allows the system to provide organized checking results. The implementation of this system not only reduces checking time, but also minimizes the risk of human error that often occurs in manual methods. Through the implementation of this PKL, the author gained valuable experience in applying programming theory and Computer Vision technology in the industrial world. The results of this system are expected to provide a significant contribution to PT. Temprina Media Grafika in digitizing their operational processes and become a reference for the development of similar technologies in the future.
