Abstract

This study aims to explore the agricultural culture and characteristics of Tengger farmers in Wonokitri Village from a socio-economic perspective. The method used is descriptive qualitative through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that Tengger agricultural culture—such as the liliwet ritual, the use of organic fertilizers, and mutual cooperation—plays a key role in farmers' economic strategies. Farmers’ characteristics, which emphasize spiritual values and frugal living, create an economy based on local resilience. Welfare is measured not only by income, but by meaningful living and sustainability. This study recommends agricultural policies that are adaptive to local values.
