Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Consumer Price Index (CPI), Economic Growth, and Human Development Index (HDI) on the City Minimum Wage (UMK) in Kediri City. Kediri City is an area with the highest GRDP per capita in East Java, but has a UMK that is among the three lowest in the province, raising questions about the alignment between economic indicators and minimum wage policies. This study uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis methods and secondary data from 2010 to 2024. The results of the study show that simultaneously, the CPI, Economic Growth, and HDI variables affect the UMK. However, partially only Economic Growth and HDI have a significant effect on the UMK, while the CPI does not have a significant effect. This finding shows that although inflation (measured through the CPI) has increased, the adjustment of the UMK in Kediri City is more influenced by the conditions of economic growth and the quality of human development. Keywords: City Minimum Wage, Consumer Price Index, Economic Growth, Human Development Index
