Abstract
Poverty is a complex problem that has not been solved. West Kalimantan is the province with the highest poverty rate among the provinces on the other island of Kalimantan. This study analyzes the influence of the number of population, open unemployment rate (TPT), and Average School Length (RLS) on poverty rates in West Kalimantan Province. Using a quantitative approach with secondary data from BPS for the 2009-2023 period, the methods used are multiple linear regression and SPSS. The results of the study showed that the number of population and the average length of school had a significant negative effect on poverty, while TPT had no significant effect. These findings affirm the importance of improving the quality of human resources and population management in poverty alleviation.
