Abstract

Background: Evaluation of soil fertility is essential to determine sustainable land management strategies, particularly in rainfed lowland rice areas. Methods: The study was conducted in Sukodadi District, Lamongan Regency, from April to August 2024. Soil samples were collected from nine locations at two depths (0–20 cm and 20–40 cm) and analyzed for chemical properties, including pH, C-organic, available P₂O₅, available K₂O, Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC), and Base Saturation (BS). The data were processed using ArcGIS 10.7 to classify fertility status. Results: Soils were predominantly neutral to slightly alkaline in pH, with very high P₂O₅ content, moderate K₂O and C-organic, high CEC, but very low BS. Conclusion: Soil fertility levels ranged from low to high, with base saturation as the main limiting factor. Specific land management strategies are recommended to improve fertility.
