Abstract
This internship report discusses the practical work experience conducted at PT. Magnesium Gosari Internasional from November 1 to November 29, 2024. The main objective of this program is to observe and analyze the production process of dolomite-based products and to apply the chemical engineering knowledge acquired during academic studies. PT. Magnesium Gosari Internasional is a company engaged in the processing of dolomite minerals into powdered products used in agriculture, aquaculture, metallurgy, and other industrial sectors. During the internship, various aspects of industrial operations were examined, including raw material handling, equipment operation, utility systems, quality control, and occupational health and safety (OHS). A special task was also carried out involving the performance evaluation of Heat Exchanger 52-HE-01 in Plant 3. This analysis aimed to assess fouling factors, pressure drop, and efficiency, providing insights into operational improvements. The internship provided valuable exposure to real-world industrial environments, enhanced problem-solving skills, and fostered a better understanding of the integration between theory and practice in chemical engineering processes.
