Abstract

This study aims to assess the financial health of Indonesian digital banks during the 2019–2023 period using the CAMELS method, which includes the Capital, Asset Quality, Management, Earnings, Liquidity, and Sensitivity to Market Risk ratios. This descriptive quantitative research uses secondary data from the annual financial reports of 12 digital banks registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The data were analyzed using the One Sample t-Test to compare the average ratios with OJK and Bank Indonesia standards. The findings reveal that, in general, digital banks fall within the fairly healthy to healthy category, though some exhibit weaknesses in operational efficiency (BOPO) and profitability (NPM). Most banks met the standard thresholds for CAR, LDR, and PDN. The study concludes that while digital banks are competitive in the digital era, risk management and operational efficiency remain key challenges that must be addressed to ensure long-term financial stability. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for regulators, investors, and policymakers in improving the governance of digital banking.
