Abstract
PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk is a leading company in the cement industry that continuously innovates and grows. To enhance production efficiency and quality, the company requires in-depth and accurate data analysis. The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Department plays a crucial role in planning, analyzing, and managing the company's financial performance. However, a major challenge faced is how to effectively and efficiently analyze and visualize the abundant data available. The Internship Program (Praktik Kerja Lapang - PKL) was conducted with the aim of improving the data analysis and visualization processes within the FP&A department. The methods used include data collection from SAP and manual calculations, data cleaning using Power Query, data exploration, and presentation of results using Power BI. The daily and monthly data extracted from SAP covers various aspects such as Coal Movement, OPEX, and others. Data extraction was automated using Excel Macros and Power Automate to streamline routine tasks. The collected data was cleaned using Power Query to ensure quality and consistency, then explored to understand its structure and interrelationships. The result of the internship is the development of an interactive dashboard using Power BI, which enables the FP&A team to effectively monitor the company's operational and financial performance. This dashboard provides clear and easy-to-understand information, supporting better decision-making and ensuring efficiency and transparency in resource management. The internship program also offers valuable benefits for students by providing real-world work experience and deepening their understanding of how data analysis theories are applied in industry. Suggestions for further improvements include integrating SAP with Power BI, establishing a structured Data Mart, developing technical guidelines, and organizing regular training sessions for employees. The implementation of these suggestions is expected to enhance data management efficiency and effectiveness, as well as ensure the sustainability of the systems developed.
