Abstract
In today's modern era, investment has become increasingly popular. This trend is evident from the development of various types of investments in the capital market. The success of an investment can be assessed based on the investment decisions made; therefore, sound investment decisions are crucial, especially for beginner investors. Investment decisions are influenced by the psychological biases of individual investors, which can significantly affect the choices they make. This study aims to examine the influence of herding and overconfidence on investment decisions, with financial literacy as a moderating variable, among members of the Investment Gallery of the Faculty of Economics and Business, UPN "Veteran" East Java. The research uses a quantitative approach with primary data collected through online questionnaires distributed via social media. The variables were measured using a Likert scale ranging from 1 to 5. The population in this study consists of 348 student investors who are members of the Investment Gallery at the Faculty of Economics and Business, UPN "Veteran" East Java. The sample was selected using a non-probability sampling technique, resulting in 80 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics version 23. The findings of the study can be summarized as follows: (1) herding has a significant influence on investment decisions, (2) overconfidence has a significant influence on investment decisions, (3) financial literacy serves as a moderating variable that strengthens the influence of herding on investment decisions, and (4) financial literacy also strengthens the influence of overconfidence on investment decisions. Keywords: Herding, Overconfidence, Financial Literacy, Investment Decisions
